Description
Build a full MainStage backing track with me! I'll take you through opening MainStage for the first time, building a click track, making your custom MainStage preset, the hardware needed for live on stage, and finally MIDI controlling it with something like the Roland SPD-SX. But there really is no limit to what you can do, use, or control.
Mainstage is a great first step into the world of backing tracks and customisable software. You can use it not just for backing tracks, but for virtual instruments, MIDI controlling things, and so much more. But I'm getting ahead of myself!
My goal is to help you build something you'll see live on pub stages, arena stages, and everything in-between to gain an understanding of how it works. By the end of the course, you'll have all the tools you'll need to use it with your band or live show.
I also include all of the stems and project templates I use throughout the course for you to download and use with me.
I will also mention that there's no right or wrong way to do this. MainStage is incredibly customisable, so my hope is to give you the tools you need to create what you want for your project. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.
Let's get started!
Who this course is for:
- Beginners who have never used MainStage before
- Intermediate users who want to develop their skills further
Instructor
I'm Harry, and this is Drum Electric.
I'm a drummer who loves tech, so I combined the two! I run a YouTube channel called "Drum Electric" that looks at teaching how to combine drums and electronics. That's everything from triggers, sample pads, Ableton, backing tracks, and everything in-between.
My goal is to create detailed and easy to follow tutorials. Feel free to join me, and I look forwards to seeing you there.
