What you'll learn
By the end of the workshop, you'll have a fully-functional mailing list, know how to encourage folks to join and understand how to send out relationship-building updates
In this course, you will learn how to create a mailing list, how to encourage readers to sign up, how to send out effective emails, how to encourage readers to interact with you and how to fit mailing list updates into your life.
An author website (preferably Wordpress)
The desire to become a mailing list magician!
30 minutes/week to build/develop your mailing list once the course is complete
Your mailing list is your best book promotion tool -- period. That's right, a simple list of reader emails is even more effective than Facebook, Twitter or other social media flavor of the moment.
Having a list of dedicated readers puts you in control of delivering information and updates directly to your readers' inboxes -- and we all know how often we check our email, right?
If you're an author looking for the best way to communicate directly with your readers, you must have a mailing list. I'll show you how to set one up, attract readers to join and (gasp!) actually enjoy the whole process!
Now for all the deets:
The workshop contains six clear, concise lessons that will each take you around an hour to complete (depending on how speedy you are). You’ll be able to start and stop the lessons at your leisure, so you can knock the whole course out in two days or two weeks — it’s up to you.
The lessons are a mix of text, audio, video, examples and exercises. We’ll do our best to accommodate every learning style!
All of the goodies (videos, slideshows, exercises and resources) will be available online, ready for you to take on at your own pace.
We’ll be here, only an email away, to answer any questions that pop up and give you one-on-one advice, specific to your book and audience. We’re also considering a live chat/conference call for folks who prefer talking things out.
