Course Description:
This online course is designed to provide learners with an understanding of the different types of waste that can occur in a process, and how to apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce or eliminate those wastes.
The course begins by introducing the concept of Lean Six Sigma and its history, as well as the importance of identifying and reducing waste in a process. Learners will explore the seven types of waste in detail, including defects, overproduction, waiting, non-utilized talent, transportation, inventory, and excess processing.
Next, the course will cover the principles of Lean Six Sigma, including the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology, and how it can be used to reduce waste in a process.
