Magick 111: Working With Spirits

Spirits are everywhere and willing to work with humanity in reciprocal relationships.

Humanity’s many cultures have looked at the world around them and attributed spirits and gods to many aspects of nature and the cosmos, desiring to connect with them for means both big and small. Whether they were religious or mundane individuals, people have been surrounded by the idea that the world has much more to offer than just the physical.

Such spirits were given names like angels, demons, elementals, sprites, sylphs, naga and others.

Over time, people devised methods of veneration and prayer to connect with these spirits. Whether tied to particular aspects of nature, the cosmos or weather events, spirits were seen as both positive and powerful helpers that were willing to work with humanity for offerings, veneration and exchanges.

You don’t need to be born intuitive or sensitive to connect with spirits. Everyone has the abilities within them to tune their mind to the higher planes and hear the messages from these entities. Such practices require patience, practice and desire.
