Description

Mandarin is not easy - so it might as well be fun.

Mad Mandarin Method is all about teaching the basic fundamentals of speaking and writing standard mandarin, and approaching the tedium of technical details and practice repetition with a healthy dose of humour and entertainment.

Leveraging on an instructor who grew up effectively bilingual in english and mandarin, and who has a penchant of using her near pitch-perfect enunciation for laughs more than anything else, this is hopefully a course that mitigates the daunting prospect of learning an unfamiliar language using a combination of wit and a genuine appreciation of language.

Carefully crafted with absolute beginners and English speakers in mind, this course covers the absolute fundamentals and A-grade foundations of writing, pronunciation, grammar, and a few useful terms – enough to start exploring the wonderful wacky world of mandarin on your own, with a friend, or with another native speaking teacher, or just with the internet (where is this course hosted on again?). This course will be periodically updated, so keep the feedback coming in to keep the updates useful!

Mad instead of maddening. Manic instead of menacing. Magnetic instead of malefic. As all things should be, and we hope that is how you like it.

Are you ready? Let's start.

Who this course is for:

  • Beginners
  • Intermediate mandarin users looking to improve pronunciation and enunciation
