This lecture is just an introduction to the course and gives out a brief overview of it.
In this lesson, we will learn all about the basic elements, how it is used as fillers and in borders.
Project#1 : Draw any two borders using the elements.
In this lesson, we will learn about the borders used in Madhubani Painting. How to draw basic borders as well as learn how to start it.
Project#2 : Draw borders on a rectangular / square or a circular sheet.
In this Lesson , we will learn about the different motifs of Madhubani Painting , its significance and how to draw it.
Project#3 : On the pervious project (project#2) , draw any motif of your choice and finish it by filling in the details.
(Hence , you made a katchni style Madhubani Painting using all the three projects)

Madhubani Painting also known as Mithila Painting is an Indian folk art originated from the Mithila region in Bihar.
Dated back to the time of Ramayana , this 2500 year old art form is an Indian heritage.
This course will deal with the basics of Madhubani Painting.
This is a beginner's friendly class. The Medium of language is English and medium of color is Acrylics.

This course will start from the very core of the art form. Students are expected to learn about the different kinds of elements used in madhubani painting, how the borders and painted and started on a paper. 'Motif' which means the main object of the painting is also dealt in detail.
Every video has a project/assignment assigned to it. It is important to diligently complete the project as all of these are interlinked to each other and will lead into a full Katchni style Madhubani Painting.
The final project of the course is to make a Bharni style Madhubani Painting.
