This course is to take aspiring hip-hop songwriters to the next level! This course will cover:

- Styles of writing your music

- Different ways of getting your material from your brain to the page
- Chorus etiquette
- reasons why drafting and re-writing are CRUCIAL to the songwriting process
- Ways to organize and manage all of your lyrics.

My goal is to get you to form an understanding of these writing concepts, then experiment with the knowledge and develop your own unique style.

Instructor
I am an experimental hip-hop artist/producer from the Inland Empire, California. I have over 12 years of songwriting experience and over 15 years of production experience. I've released over 13 projects, as well as produced, engineered and ghost-written numerous other projects. I've played with bands and have developed my own wireless, self-DJing hip-hop stage show.
My hip-hop songwriting style encompasses extremely dense multi-syllable rhyming, metaphors and word play. I also incorporate complex themes and story telling. My overall style would be considered experimental.
My hip-hop production style encompasses heavy use of dense laying and sampling. I also incorporate loose, free form drums of varying styles. My overall style would be considered experimental.
I have over 3 years of teaching experience in all of the previously mentioned subjects.
