


The LPI Linux Essentials 010-160 certification exam is designed for entry-level users with basic working knowledge of Linux. It does cover all aspects of Linux but mainly focuses on surface level knowledge of Linux concepts and applications. The exam is not designed for administrators or experts, but it can be a stepping stone towards higher level exams.
It is highly recommended that you practice on the command line in order to understand command behaviors and limitations.
Exams:
The Assessment exam has been designed to simulate the exact breadth and depth of knowledge required for the Linux Essentials exam. If you can pass the Assessment exam, then you can pass the LPI Linux Essentials exam.
The remaining 5 exams will to test your foundational knowledge of concepts and ability to apply those concepts. It's recommended to use the exams to reinforce your understanding of concepts, help clear up any misconceptions, and to identify gaps in learning.
