I will show you what tablet I use and also some tips to save money when you buy drawing tablets.
Ill show you where to get the softwares we will be needing for this course.
This video is an extract from the course "Learn To Make Epic Low Poly Scenes." In this video I will show you how I mostly find my reference. Plus one other thing that I did not mention on the 1st course about reference.
Create a main folder to organize your stylized low poly characters, exports, textures, references, and assets, using SBX extension conventions to support Maya, Photoshop, Substance, and Unity.
Sculpt a stylized low-poly base character body in zbrush using a reference image, dynamesh for topology, and clay build up, move, inflate, and masking tools.
Master masking and selection in ZBrush to isolate hair strands as a single mesh, then refine with move, pinch, and curve modifiers.
master stylized low poly shoulder pads in ZBrush using masking, extraction, and merging, with symmetry and mirror workflows and subdivision adjustments to refine the clothes.
Project textures onto a stylized low poly character in ZBrush, adding eyes and eyebrows, using texture projection, subdivision controls, and symmetry, then prep for topology work in the next video.
Refine topology in Zmodeler by deleting unnecessary edges, freezing borders to preserve shape, and using move brushes to reshape low-poly geometry, while masking, hiding, and merging vertices for clean topology.
In this Maya retopology tutorial, isolate the character's body, build clean quad-based topology with symmetry and quad draw, align edge flow to muscle anatomy, then export to Maya.
Learn retopology in Maya by merging meshes, adding edge loops, and mirroring edits on a stylized low-poly hand, with reference images and basic material setup.
Master retopology in Maya by exporting, merging, and cleaning up armor and clothes; fix topology, optimize vertices, and maintain clean outliner for stylized low-poly characters.
Create gradient and color textures in Photoshop, export a texture for a low-poly assassin, and map it onto a Maya character using UV editor and Lambert material.
Watch the course's free preview videos before buying, especially the 1st one. The 1st video will show you how to save money and get the best savings especially if you are buying by bundles. Take advantage of this while it's still there.

The ones that you have read on top are the main things you will learn in this course. But, with all seriousness there's so much things I've went through in this course. It's a bit overkill and I agree. But for the people that are mainly targeted for this course you guys will shine and learn the most. The same workflow is used on creating AAA type characters in Zbrush and even stylized. If you get through this course, you will get through any intermediate AAA or stylized character course creation or any courses I will put here in the future that is about characters. There are free gems in this course that will take you places :) Take it and run. Have fun !
If you are a complete beginner don't worry, everything will be made from scratch and easy to understand. You don't need to be a senior artist or an expert to be able to achieve great results! Join me, I got chu~~.
See ya! :)
