Everything has a beginning. In this lecture, I share how purpose became pivotal in my life.
The reason why I share this is for you to also track back and see what you discover about your life.
The Purpose Discovery Process is a 5-Step Process.
To get the most of the process, watch the entire section: [The Process, You need a Partner, It's 'You' Time, Share Your Story, Identify Themes & Draft Your Purpose Statement] and take note of what's expected of you.
Your goal is to Discover Your Purpose and Draft a Purpose Statement that is simple, actionable and focused.
Everything Your Partner needs to help you is clearly laid out here.

Remember this line from your Personal Commitment: "I commit to Start, Stay the course and See it out?"
Before and during your meeting with your Partner, remind yourself of it.
It may not be comfortable sharing some stories but remember why you embarked on this journey: You have a genuine desire to find your Life's Purpose.
Discovering Your Purpose requires that you step out of your Comfort zone. For the stories that you choose to share, don't hold back. It is in opening up that you give yourself a golden opportunity to discover your purpose.
In sharing your stories, other experiences that you didn’t plan to speak on may come up, go with the flow. It will enrich the experience and give meaning to other stories.
In sharing your stories, details matter. Shed light on your stories, when your partner probes, open up.
The next step in your Purpose Discovery is to identify themes: the recurring ideas, words, phrases and feelings that emerged from your stories.
Your partner should take the lead during this part of the process. Remember, your partner has an objectivity that you don’t have simply because you’re too close to see the patterns. While you’re busy describing trees, your partner has a better view of the forest emerging.
As they speak and give you valuable insights from your life stories, pay close attention and take note of what they say.
As a bonus here are some examples using the format shared.
To propel people forward so that they can make their mark on the world. David Mead
To help people develop enlightened perspectives, take ownership of their life's purpose, lead with character, competence and creativity so that they; improve the quality of their lives and work, live meaningful and fulfilled lives and become diligent leaders. Michael Adote
The Purpose Statement you leave with is a Draft. Take time to reflect and refine but don't get too fixated on making the Statement perfect that you don't act on it. As you progress, the words may change but essence remains the same.
The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. Mark Twain
From a human perspective, until we are born, there isn’t much to our lives, at least not as we know it, right?
At some point in our lives, we must find out why we are here. I believe that we all have a function, a purpose, a job to do in this life. That is what the quote is talking about when we find out why we’re here.
We all have unique talents which lend themselves to specific tasks. There are things that only you can do. People only you can reach.
Once we know why we are here, we can get busy fulfilling the purpose of our life.
When it comes to finding purpose, some people are willing and eager to discover it. Others, aren’t ready or willing to take the risks involved in discovering what theirs is. There are those who don’t care. This program is not designed to try to convince the unready or the indifferent.
This course is for anyone with a genuine desire to discover their Why.
This course will help you discover your true purpose.
