Discover how to use this course to build your own trading style, from opening an account and placing limit orders to understanding order books and order routing.
Before opening an account, check broker fees, minimum balances, and inactivity fees, since these vary by country and broker. Interactive Brokers charges one dollar per trade and may apply small-balance fees.
Spot impostor accounts on Instagram and YouTube and follow only the two official accounts. Protect yourself by never sharing phone numbers or Bitcoin and reporting any scam messages.
Learn to monitor stock news in the TWX app by viewing market news, portfolio news, and company-specific news, ranked by importance, with watchlists or custom tickers.
Direct market orders ride a smart order router to choose among exchanges such as IEX, Nasdaq, and BATS. They balance liquidity, fees, and time of execution to maximize fills.
Discover my approach to day trading stock pairs by blending swing trading with intraday layering, using multiple entry layers, risk management, and position sizing for scalable profits.
Showcase active pair trading with multiple layers, buying and selling across days to lock in profits, manage risk, and liquidate efficiently at end of day.
Learn to trade with a small account using swing trading, risk-aware strategies, and advanced execution techniques, including order routing and dark pool orders.
This course is all practical.
Opening a brokerage account. Funding it. Understanding margin and how to get live quotes in your account. We even cover how to get live quotes to your demo account so you can have the most realistic practice environment possible.
We go over the trading platform TWS (Trader Workstation) from Interactive Brokers (you can use any trading platform you want, though). We cover how to set up your trading environment: order books, time of sales, economic calendar, portfolio watchlist, news, charting, and much more! All live. All practical.
Then, we look at executing orders! In a live account! We go over commissions and how to send regular limit orders and market orders. Following that, we cover advanced order types like directed market orders, hidden orders, and iceberg orders. We learn how to read the order book and place orders correctly based on the stock you are trading. We show this through live examples on both liquid and illiquid stocks.
Finally, we trade the pair trading strategy with live capital. Pair trading is one of the most complete strategies, so being able to execute this strategy will enable you to execute on any other strategy!
See you in the course!
