Liquid motion is a movement methodology that focuses on sensual movement (activation of the senses) combined with basic dance theory and technique. This is a perfect class for all levels from complete beginners with no movement experience at all up to professional dancers who are looking to revisit floor work at a technical level and learning the ability to articulate and verbalize this type of movement.
We focus a lot on the pelvis and pelvic initiation, which includes full range of motion through the spine and through the top of the head. We have five different fundamentals and five different techniques that we can draw upon in any given class and although we do have signature moves, along with more generally know ones too, the actual moves are just a vehicle for our methodology.
You will learn how to move your body and understand what the body is or is not doing so that you can start to make conscious decisions and learn how to "make it your own"!
This is volume one of liquid motion classes, all classes are built to be standalone and don't need to be taken in any type of sequence or series, the more you come the more you'll learn in the more content you'll have to access in the future!
Warm-up videos are provided in the first section and a warm-up of some sort is always required before starting a class. Each class only has site-specific warm-up content for that particular class.
Kneepads are highly recommended (essentially required) as you only get one set of knees in your lifetime so I highly recommend protecting them from the beginning!
