Set Up Business Page
Start creating your own Facebook ads the very first thing you need to do is create a Facebook business manager account. Really Facebook just once to designate an account manager and have your billing info in so they can get paid for your ad spend.
Basically, this process is pretty simple but the next step is to create your Facebook business page. Some people called these Facebook business pages an incognito page.
You can call your business page whatever you want really but it's a good idea to keep it related to the market you're going to serve. Also ideally the general area that you cover perhaps.
For example Florida Senior Benefits if it isn't already taken would be an ideal Facebook business page to create. Again call it whatever you want but we want to create that page because that is going to be the anchor from what's your ads are going to be generated.
I want to add some general graphics and content and links to website that you have them as well. When the page is set up you're also going to want to invite your friends to like your page this will come in handy for the ad campaign process as well.
Quite simply put Facebook, doesn't like to run ads to a page that nobody likes as they probably feel it could be a shill account page.
Feel free to build this page out as much as you'd like. Spend a little time on it add some pictures post infographics whatever you can find.
The more the better. This page alone will be source of free leads!
It's also worth mentioning here that you need to have a Facebook business page that follows the nap consistency rule with your Google listing.
Targeting
When running Facebook Ads there are some key principles to follow to make a Facebook Ad successful. It was not pure accident that these ads that are generating HIGH QUALITY life leads are working.
You have to define the avatar which is actually where the process all starts before you even think about creating any kind of ad. A fatal mistake is to start creating ads without really defining who they are speaking too.
Many people think that just having the perfect ad copy is all you need. So if you just have the ad copy you can run it and get similar results.
The ad copy is very important but you also need to have the right targeting. If you are running a great ad to the wrong audience your results will struggle greatly.
Ad copy and the right audience so it should be a winner but...you could have a great ad copy, the perfect audience but the lead form page or landing page is junk.
Let's say have a great ad, the perfect audience and the landing page is dialed in and here come the leads. So to get to this point all three of these points the ad copy, targeting and landing page have to have great chemistry to generate leads. If one of these is off then the campaign can fail to produce anything or very little.
Maybe you have tried to run Facebook ads in the past and failed. You just kept spending more and more money with lousy results. More than likely one of those metrics were off.
Also once you get an ad that is working, you still want to tweak it, that is make it better. Be creative and go after different markets as well... so if one ad starts to stagnate you have others that are going strong.

At this point, I need to mention that the Facebook ad machine does what you tell it to do. So we want to be specific that we're looking for lead generation or some kind of conversion metric. If you tell Facebook you want lead forms filled out that's what the algorithm will go to work on. Does this make sense?
While I've included some of the filters that I use it's worth mentioning that you can Target any Niche that you have an interest or familiarity with, or know the market well. For example, in my past life I was a registered nurse so I know these registered nurses well and could Target them with ad copy I knew would get them to bite. Subsequently, when I got them on the phone to sell them we already had the nursing connection and the sale was relatively easy. Another nice thing about targeting that demographic is they couldn't hit me with they can't afford it. I already know they can!
BOPA
Short for borrowing other people's audience!
This will perhaps be one of the most sustainable long-term methods you can invoke for your business. It's not easy it requires some strategy and effort but sooner or later you're going to have to start thinking of your business in terms of its long-term viability and success and not just the short-term leads.
The concept is actually really simple if you want to be famous go associate with people who are famous. You want to be well known in your community, then associate with the people who are well known in your community. Find some people in adjacent services to you or adjacent markets are adjacent demographics to you that already have a decent audience and borrow it. Just be sure to ask politely!
What do I mean by adjacent services? Well, that could be anything from estate attorneys to mortgage brokers to realtors and so on. Find some people who are in your target area of service or demographic that have Rose to a certain level of prominence i.e., they have a decent social media following, podcast or radio show, etcetera. Strategize a clever way to be a guest on their program and Viola!
You will need a unique selling proposition that makes you stand out and would make you a logical guest for them to have on their program. You also need to think of a tactful way to approach them. Don't just spam them with "I want to be a guest".
That's lame nobody will go for that. BE CLEVER. THINK IT THROUGH!
