Thank you.
As I said these will have a gardening them.
I don' expect you to do them in the same time as I did, it isn't a race, take the time that you need. I just set myself the 15 minute guideline so that people who can only snatch a short time to paint have a subject handy. Each lecture title has the approximate time after the title.
Mine are quite small cards but if you want to paint bigger cards then they may take a little longer.
This course is to help people paint more quickly, be more relaxed in the process, for those who say they don't have time and for those who tend to overthink their painting
RESOURCES
Each card will have the basic drawing and the finished painting for you to download and copy if you wish.
Mark up the cards.
You can of course make them any size you like. I made them so there was little paper waste out of a sheet, not too big but big enough to paint the picture on. You will need to have an even number
Mine worked out at 50 mm x 35 mm
Take care if you are using a sharp knife.
Also as a note, I had some problems cutting as I had some thicker bits of paint on the back.
Garden gate.
This is the sort of gate you might see going into a walled garden or vegetable plot in an old stately home. Or maybe it's into a secret garden.
RESOURCE

The painting.
Plant pots and seed markers
You will be painting a few of these, so I thought we'd start off with them to get you limbered up.
RESOUCE
Photo of the plant pot shape
Pot of lavender
I had to include this. A similar painting but larger painting video demonstration has in excess of 100,00 view (Nicola Blakemore).
So have fun painting this easy little painting
RESOURCE
The painting
A spade and some plants to put in the garden.
Again you can take liberties with subject and make whatever changes you want. This will just get you started,
RESOURCE

The painting.
Delphiniums
I love these flowers, though I have never had much success in growing them. They come in a range of blues and lilacs and are essential in an English country garden.
RESOURCE
The drawing of the tub..
The painting
A recent photo I took in England.
Stone bird bath.
Here we will paint a grey stone bird bath. To create the carving you will build up the colour to create shadows. You will find it easier to painting the flower heads first then the stalks afterwards.
RESOURCE
The painting
Wrought iron chair with trug
This one is a little more complicated. So I have added the sketch in the resource of how I drew the chair. You will see how I drew a box which helped me construct the chair within, much easier, remeber that whje you are doing other difficult shapes
RESOURCE
The drawing.

Garden Table.
A matching table to the chair which has a drink, open book and sun glasses on the top with a straw hat underneath, conveniently covering the feet.

NEW BONUS LECTURE added August 2023
Don't have time to paint? Oh yes you do
Are you overthinking how you paint?
Want to relax and quicken up?
AND
Gain confidence with how you paint?
Then painting these pictures, which should all take no longer than 15 minutes, will help you.
Not only will you achieve the above but you will also be painting a set of cards for playing a game, twice the fun.
The Paintings.
All the paintings have a gardening theme. they may be of flowers, plants, tools or garden features. Make your own variations or make up your own. As this is also a game you will need to paint each painting twice which will help you even more with loosening up and honing your painting techniques.
The Game
Children often play a memory game in which a deck of cards containing matching pairs is used. The cards are shuffled and placed face down on a table. The players then take turns and select two cards at a time. If both cards match, they are won by that player; otherwise, the cards are placed face down at the same positions. The players keep going until all the cards have gone. The backs of the cards can also be used as a jigsaw, to create a complete abstract painting.
Why choose one of my courses?
Because, as a self taught artist I understand how a lot of people feel about their creative work, sometimes anxious, sometimes overwhelmed and often that it's not 'good enough'. I will hold your hand as you overcome these fears as I offer a friendly, relaxed and sensitive teaching style.
I also have years of experience of teaching people of all levels both in person and via the internet.
Do one of my courses and you will feel as if I am in the room with you every step of the way.
Enjoy your painting, love Nicola
