Observe how the Lagna of the Divisional Charts change based on their amount of "division" and how that might help you ascertain whether to use that Divisional Chart or not.
Manually construct the Navamsha (or any Divisional Chart) applying Parashari rules.
Another example of how to manually calculate a Divisional Chart (in this case the Trimamsha) using the algorithm chart in your handouts for the (D-30) Chart. In case you don't have a Jyotish software program you can do this on your own.
Learn some other uses for the Navamsha Chart other than just looking at it for "Relationships".
Identify what a Vargottama Graha and Lagna are and learn how to "Qualify" them.
Get an overall "picture" as to how all the following lectures "tie together" so that you are not lost in the myriad of information. Know which set of rules have more "weight".
Divisional Charts are not based on astronomy; therefore, you must understand how to "Transfer" Planetary Conditions onto a Divisional Chart from the Main Chart. These conditions are listed on your handout.
Continue looking at more Whiteboard Examples of how to Transfer Planetary Conditions so you can gain more experience.
Before you learn the Sankhya Yogas, you are to learn how to decipher the Location and Condition of the Graha. This Graha is the Dasha Lord that you are assessing for 'reading' your chart. Use your Handout to further clarify what the outcome(s) may be.
Expand your knowledge of this Rule of Location by examining more Example Charts.
Identify what is a Sankhya Yoga; what constitutes a Sankhya Yoga for a Divisional Chart? This is Part A followed by more explanations in Parts B & C.
Be able to further differentiate between the various Sankhya Yogas.
"Cement" your understanding of Sankhya Yogas by more Whiteboard Examples.
Because you do not use the Traditional Yogas the same for Divisional Charts (not truly astronomical charts), you will learn which Yogas you may use listed on your Handout.
Learn how to apply "Spot Play" Rules 1 - 3 that are specific to Divisional Charts using your Handout and watching the Whiteboard Examples.
Learn how to apply "Spot Play" Rules 4 - 6 that are specific to Divisional Charts using your Handout and watching the Whiteboard Examples.
Learn how to apply "Spot Play" Rules 7 - 11 that are specific to Divisional Charts using your Handout and watching the Whiteboard Examples.
Learn how to apply "Spot Play" Rules 12 - 15 that are specific to Divisional Charts using your Handout and watching the Whiteboard Examples.
This is an "optional" lecture if you want to learn how to quickly scan a Divisional Charts page when you are with a client or if you simply want to "Markup" the Divisional Charts on your own chart. It is helpful to be able to work on this ahead of time and periodically scan a particular Divisional Chart to see how that Dasha or Bhukti is doing, or will do in the future.
Learn how to decipher between the complexities of the graha conditions existing in the Main Chart and the Divisional Charts. At this stage of your learning you'll be able to "juggle" between the 'not so obvious' results of what appears in the Main Chart as opposed to what lies deep within the Divisional Charts.
Congratulations!!! "You Made It". I want to send you off with some "Final Thoughts", close with the "Completeness Invocation", and May the "Light of Jyotish" Bless your studies. Namaste, Janet
Every Main Birth Chart (also known as a D-1 Chart) may be further 'dissected' and divided into more minute detailed "mini-charts" (sections). Each 'mini-chart' is not an astronomical chart as is the Main Chart. The Main Chart is practically a photo of the sky at the time of your birth, whereas the Divisional Charts are an "extraction" of the Main Chart. Therefore, these Divisional Charts are not 'read' the same as the Main Chart (the D-1 Chart). There are specific rules that you must know in order to be able to 'read' the Divisional Charts properly. This concept is akin to health where what you see on the outside, our face and body, may not be the health we have in the inside, our muscles, skeleton, and organs. The same with the Main Chart versus the "inside" Divisional Charts. You have to look inside to see further what is happening on the outside.
