Open adobe dimension, add 3D shapes from the left panel, then rotate, pan, and select objects, and adjust the pivot from bottom, top, or center via the right-side properties.
Learn basic properties in adobe dimension by adjusting rotation, scale, and size, and modify capsule, spear, ring, pipe, and cylinder radii and angles to shape the look.
Add and customize text in Adobe Dimension using the basic shapes text option; type content, choose fonts and styles, adjust spacing, alignment, size, depth, and bevel, then apply bubble effects.
Import custom 3D models into Adobe Dimension by choosing File > Import and opening a supported 3D file, then adjust scale, rotation, and placement.
Master placement and alignment of objects in Adobe Dimension from scratch. Drag to position, snap to ground, rotate, and stack items, with various assignment options.
Group multiple objects in Adobe Dimension by selecting them and clicking the group icon, then move, resize, or rotate the group; ungroup by dragging out or deleting, and rename groups.
Learn to duplicate models and create evenly spaced copies using the align and distribute tool in Adobe Dimension, adjusting positions across axes to maintain consistent spacing and layout.
Learn to convert objects into a standard model in Adobe Dimension, removing the edit bubbles and locking geometry. Use this to export or preserve the model as a standard asset.
Learn practical Adobe Dimension camera navigation, including orbit, pan, dolly, tilt, focus, field of view, and camera bookmarks to frame scenes and render with precise viewpoints.
Select the camera, set the focus point, and preview the render to control depth of field. Adjust the focus amount to sharpen or blur surrounding objects.
Apply substance materials to a model in Adobe Dimension, exploring the material area, double-click to edit, and adjust roughness, density, saturation, luminosity, and resolution to create realistic textures.
Master the sampling tool in Adobe Dimension to copy materials and colors between objects, sample in material or color modes, and apply or undo changes with keyboard shortcuts.
Apply environmental lighting in Adobe Dimension by selecting studio light, adjusting intensity and rotation, and using colorize options; add directional light for three-point lighting and panorama.
Import a custom environmental light by loading an image and converting it to a speckled panorama for 360 lighting. Adjust intensity and combine with directional lights for three-point lighting.
Import a background, resize the canvas to the image aspect ratio, and match the camera perspective to align objects. Render preview calculates lighting to make the scene look natural.
Import an Illustrator file with multiple layers into Adobe Dimension, then choose artboards as textures, place them on a model, and reuse the same file for multiple graphics.
Learn how to render in Adobe Dimension by choosing cloud or local options, manage credits and quality, and export to bnz or Photoshop-ready formats.
Learn to work with an exported PSD from Adobe Dimension, manage layers like 3D elements and background, and adjust shadows and color with material, masks, and depth channels.
Publish Adobe Dimension projects by exporting BNZ files or sharing public web links via Creative Cloud. Upload, generate a public link, and view interactive 3D scenes in a browser.
Export selected models or the entire scene from Adobe Dimension, choose a supported 3D format, and open the file in another 3D software to continue editing.
Import Substance materials into Adobe Dimension by browsing Substance Source, downloading free assets, and placing materials on your selection, then adjust roughness, hue, saturation, and luminosity to customize the look.
Learn Adobe Dimension from scratch by exploring preferences, general settings, and keyboard shortcuts, including rendering options, viewport aliasing, and resetting keyboard shortcuts.
Learn to build complex models in Adobe Dimension by combining simple shapes, duplicating and scaling components, grouping parts, and adding details like wood textures to chairs.
Create a shopping bag mockup in Adobe Dimension by applying materials, adjusting roughness and luminosity, importing graphics, and rendering a final export in pdf.
Build a flower vase from scratch in Adobe Dimension using basic shapes, duplicate petals and stem, apply color, group into a vase, add environment, and render with gpu processing.
Master the basics of working with 3D elements in Adobe Dimension and apply what you learned to launch your future design journeys.
Adobe Dimension is a part of Adobe Creative Cloud applications which is a simple 3D design application from Adobe that lets you design and edit 3D content with ease. In this course, we are going to look at the features and tools provided by the application to work with 3D elements.
In this course, we will start by looking at how to work with 3D objects and use transformation options followed by texturing and lighting.
We will explore the ways how we can work with Adobe Standard Material and work with Substance Material. We will also take a look at how we can import custom textures from images and import out substance materials as well.
For lighting, we will take a look at how we can utilize the lights available inside Adobe Dimension and see how we can use the Environmental Lighting feature for realistic lighting. We will also see how we can use existing images as Environmental Lights.
We will then look at exporting and publishing features and wrap up the course with an example project.
By the end of the course, you will know about the major features that you need in order to start working with Adobe Dimension.
