Come on a journey with Dr. Shane Dixon and Dr. Justin Shewell as they help to explain the science behind your brain! Instructors
Dr. Shane Dixon is a beloved language instructor and the primary designer of ASU's online TESOL certificate program, Teach English Now!--the largest TESOL Certificate program in the world. He was recognized by Coursera with the 2016 Learner’s First Award, given to the top design team as indicated by learner reviews and course ratings. He is the author of three books and several articles, including the Amazon bestselling 100 TESOL Activities: Practical ESL/EFL Activities for the Communicative Classroom and The Language Learning Guidebook:Powerful Tools to Conquer Any Language. Dr. Dixon holds a doctorate in educational technology from Arizona State University and a master’s in English language planning and policy from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Justin Shewell has a PhD in Educational Technology from Arizona State University, and a Masters in TESOL from Brigham Young University. He has been teaching English and training other teachers of English for the last 20 years. He has taught English in Asia, the Middle East, and the United States. He is the co-designer and main director/producer of the largest online TESOL certificate program in the world, Teach English Now!, and has produced Learning How to Learn a Language with Dr. Shane Dixon. He is the author of several books, book chapters, and articles, including 50 Ways to Teach Online and 50 Ways to Learn a Language (both available at Amazon.com).
