
Freestyling is making up a rhyme on the spot to a beat or acapella or perhaps a beat box
a punchline is the final phrase in your rhyme that makes people go woe!! and cover there mouth like he just laid it down. It tends to catch people off guard like did he just say that.
During my show I ask people to grab objects from there pockets, sweaters, jackets or purses and hold it up in the air so I can see it and everyone else can see it.
Another way to engage the crowd is to have them give you words and you start rhyming and incorporate the word they used.
During my shows I've brought people on stage that have a funky outfits or words and logos on their shirts. I will then proceed to freestyle rap about what there wearing and use it in my rhymes that I make up on the spot. This shows the audience that it really is on the spot making it up.
