The Bachata Basic Step is the introduction to learning how to dance bachata. Learn the footwork but also pay close attention to the body movement.
This is the footwork for all turns in bachata.
Remember not to rush. This is the timing that you should spin:
1st Step - Direction Step
2nd Step - Half Way around
3rd Step - Full way Around
Then Tap on the 4th count
Learn beginner bachata rotations in close position, led by the right hand with the right leg between the partner’s legs; master the 1-2-3-5-6-7 steps and half rotations.
Master the six hand holds for bachata: four single-handed grips, plus double-handed and cross-handed grips, using hammerlocks and top-hand turns to control direction.
Learn single handed turns in bachata by mastering four key hand holds from six total, practicing swing and tap leads, and guiding turns with proper height and timing.

Learn How 2 Dance - Bachata (beginner) is a comprehensive course teaching you how to dance Bachata and be able to feel comfortable dancing socially. It is a 16 lecture course lasting a total of 3 hours. Each lesson will build on the previous lesson, so re-take lessons if you need more practice before moving onto the next lesson.
This course is a MUST TAKE if you don't want to be that guy/girl standing on the sidelines while all your friends and coworkers are up dancing having fun.
