Also, you'll pick up some nifty tips and tricks that you probably won't find anywhere else. When you're done, you have everything you need to begin!
This lecture takes you through, step-by-step, and shows you how to create a pencil drawing of a subjects, much like the ones that you will need before beginning to paint in Section 3. These drawings are done using a nifty technique that utilizes tracing and carbon paper, which saves a ton of time and effort. Once you have your subjects drawn and/or traced, you are ready to put paint onto paper!
This lecture shows you how to trace an image onto your watercolor paper using a light box. You could also use a window with sunlight or artificial light shining through it. Likewise, a glass table with a light under it works well as an improvised light box. This is a supplemental lecture that merely shows you another method for tracing your subject prior to painting - it is not required. However, like Lecture 2, once you are done with this lecture, you should be ready to begin drawing your subjects (using whichever method you prefer) in Lecture 4.
In this lecture, you will learn everything you need to know to transform your drawing of your red rose, which you drew in Lecture 3, into a masterful watercolor painting. When you are done with this lecture, you will be ready to move on to Lecture 7 and begin painting your yellow rose.
In this lecture, you will begin with the image of the peach rose that you completed in Lecture 5 and by the time you are finished, you will have a lovely watercolor work of art. When this lecture is complete, it will be time to transition to the next section (Section 4) in which you learn about selecting matts and frames for your wonderful watercolor paintings.
In this lecture, you will learn some of the basics of selecting mattes and frames for your paintings. Learn why certain mattes and frames work with some pieces and not with others and how to choose ones that work best. When you're done, you'll have selected mattes and frames for your lovely flower paintings and will have completed this course. Not only will you have learned to paint with watercolors, but you will also have created four works of art, ready to hang in your home, to give as gifts, or even to sell!
