This 2.5 years of Saturn Transit  is called as the First phase of Sade Sati.

This 2.5 years of Saturn Transit  is called as the middle phase of Sade Sati.

Generally, Sade Sati and Shani Dhaiyya are called as 'Karmic period' and hence there would be something different happening during these periods , interms of situations or incidents. As this is a Karmic period, the Karma of a person will take over this period and  the positive indications in the horoscope of the person will go on mute mode.

Hence, inspite of whatever the dasha a person goes through in this period, the Karma [ Past deeds of a person] will have an upper hand in this period.

Generally any initiatives (Be it emotional / relationship / thoughts/ finance / Business / career changes) initiated in the first phase or just before the Middle phase of Sade Sati begins, that won't be long lasting after Sade Sati ends. Hence I would never recommended anyone to make big decisions during the middle phase of Sade Sati or in the first phase of Sade Sati as they would face lots of delays and blockers in this period and also would feel like coming to come out of that initiatives after Sade Sati gets over. So please be careful about this, if you are involving emotions or finance in this period.

Still, there is something very beautiful about the middle phase of Sade Sati , despite the negative part.

One of the deepest desires, that you wouldn't have even planned or thought about, will get fulfilled in this period. Though you may not appreciate it much while going through that period because of the other planned expectations not getting fulfilled and other planned initiatives getting delayed, After Sade Sati gets over, you will feel much elated thinking about the unexpected good luck or desire that got fulfilled in this period.

Saturn Transit over 3rd house gives in situations for a person where in the person would be forced to take a decision which the well wishers and friends around would foresee as a very bold decision.

The person undergoing this transit will definitely be very happy immediately after taking this decision. But remember, the side effects of this decision will be foreseen during the shani dhaiyya (Ardhashtama shani) - when the Saturn transits over the 4th house.

Whenever Saturn transits over the 4th house, that period of 2.5 years is called as 'Shani Dhaiyya' or Ardhashtama Shani.

Be careful about the anger level in this period, especially at the end of the shani dhaiyya as generally people get easily triggered and provoked in Shani dhaiyya period.

Please remember one more thing that, Generally whenever Shani dhaiyya completes, it would take 7 or 8 months for the person to come out of the impressions of Shani Dhaiyya. This means that, the tensions and stress would be still going on for few more months, even after Shani Dhaiyya gets completed.
