This course will help you understand how Translation Memory Technology is working and how you can manage your TMs within Cafetran. You will also learn to create and manage Glossaries (also called Termbases). The creation of the Translation Project will be fully explained in a clear and smooth way. You will learn the difference about the use of the Project TM which is a specific TM only related to the specific Translation Project it is connected to, and the General TM which needs to be connected to your project any time you translate documents which combine with the language pair and subject of your TM. You will learn how to connect and disconnect new TMs and new Glossaries (Termbases) while you are working on a specific project.
A special session will be devoted to the creation, merging and importation/exportation of terms in your glossary. You can easily import terms from a MS-Word or MS-Excel file directly to your TXT glossary format file in Cafetran.
Once the translation process is done you will learn how to run the QA (Quality Check Assurance) so that any possible mistake or inaccuracy will be detected and easily corrected and modified.
At the end of the process you will learn how to export the final target language document.
