Instructor
Cheryl Cerri resides in Southern, Ontario, Canada. She is a musician and writer, illustrator and publisher of her own books on Amazon. She began writing books 2.5 years ago and is now a 24 times Published Writer and Illustrator. She began her Musical Singing career in musical theater in Canada and moved on to study Opera in Milan, Italy. She performed on her Country's National Birthday Celebration, called Canada Day on Parliament Hill, which is Canada's Nations capital city on the CBC televised national show as the opening performer.
She sings a wide variety of styles from Opera to Country and her voice spans 3 1/2 octaves. She has been a vocal teacher for many years and has taught people of all ages how to sing.
She has held lead roles in many Broadway musicals and operettas, including many Gilbert & Sullivan Operettas such as The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, The HMS Pinafore and more. She has also held lead roles in Broadway reviews of the Phantom of the Opera, playing Christine, Les Miserable, playing Fantine, the Sound of Music, playing Maria and more.
Cheryl performed her own original song of inspiration called We Are The World for Rotary International and it ended up being their song of the year.
She also composed Canada's 150th Birthday song called "O Canada My Home Is Where I'm Free".
She is the recipient of The Milan Operatic Award in Milan, Italy and the Z103 Singer Songwriter Award in Canada. She is also the recipient of the Canadian, Country Music Award where she received a recording contract in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, where her title song There's No Time was circulated to 400 radio stations and received airplay worldwide. These three awards alone show the versatility in genres that she can sing and teach.
She has performed the Canadian and American National Anthems at the Blue Jays National Baseball and Raptors National Basketball Games in large arenas including the Scotia Tower and the very popular Sky Dome in Toronto, Canada.
She performed one of her own original songs called "The Canadian Dream" at a satellite performance for the Canadian Troops in Afghanistan.
Cheryl performed with the Canadian Opera Company for Canada’s Operatic Icon, Maureen Forrester. She also owned her own musical theatre center where she presented large scale operettas and musicals.
Cheryl has released over 7 albums. She released a Christmas Album called CHRISTMAS LEGACY in December 2020. The Album is available for download on Apple, Spotify and Amazon. It features O Holy Night, Ave Maria and many more favorites.
Cheryl also co-released an album with her husband called "Their Voice" to raise money for the homeless shelter in Toronto, Canada.
Her music is currently available on Apple Music, Itunes, Spotify and Amazon Music.
Cheryl loves to help others and has been involved in creating charity concerts to help the Homeless, The Cancer Society, Easter Seals Children, Rotary International, and more. She is proud to have been able to give back using her singing talent as well as providing a venue for other singers to perform and help out with these very needy organizations.
Cheryl has been singing her entire life and studied not only Opera but many other genres of music and in this course, she provides you with many of her TIPS that she has leaned along the way.
Cheryl, also being an author and illustrator of children's books, and the writer and performer of Children's Songs, recently released a new line of Children's Books called "Booger The Sniffing Dog Series". Her other books include a Beautiful Christmas book called His Name Is Jesus of which kids can also download a song of the same name to sing with. She also created a Canadian Book and a Song for Kids. It is a great fact filled fun book with a questionnaire at the end for kids to keep learning. There are also songs that go with the books that Kids can download and sing along with the characters in the book.
