JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is a test organized by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). It has become the standardized way to assess one's Japanese language ability. The test mostly focuses on listening and reading.
The JLPT test was revised back in 2010, and since then there has been a total of 5 levels for the test: N5, N4, N3, N2 and N1 (in order of difficulty).
This course focuses on the JLPT N3 level test. JLPT N3 is the framework from which this course is built, and the real focus of the course is to improve the student's Japanese language reading ability. That being said, the course also contains example conversations with scripts included.

It is a beginner / intermediate level course. The student should be familiar with hiragana and katakana before taking it, as there will only be minimal use of romaji in this course.
