Note that in Irish sessions it is common to play a tune three times and then move on to the next one. However, if you are at a session where beginner players are participating, you could play a tune more than tree times during your set.
You'll notice that experienced players will look at you to see what's coming next after the third round of a tune. Try and announce key changes for accompanists, although this can be quite challenging to do while you're playing. Practice saying your key changes out loud when you're playing at home.
