They sell glycerine or use it in other higher priced products like the moisturizers and creams you need when their soap dries out your skin.
Removing the natural glycerin also extends the shelf life of the soap
so that it can sit in storehouse OR on store shelves for many years.
Hand Made Soaps however retain the glycerine and offer moisturizing properties.

Saponification is the soap making process, which uses the basic solution
lye and different types of fats.
The science behind soap making is in the structure of the fats,
the properties of the lye, and the chemical reaction that produces

Butters will trace fast at any percentage.

So if you are using new fragrances test it with a small batch and make note of it
