Description
This course is a beginners guide to soft tissue drills and self myofascial release techniques using a wide variety of tools including a foam roller, massage stick, yoga tuneup ball, alpha ball, and lacrosse ball. You will learn drills covering everything from your head to your feet and how to address nagging areas that are tight and immobile.
Foam rolling helps with recovery from workouts, increases mobility, restores overall muscular balance, and helps calm the nervous system down.
The drills learned in this course are beginner but scale to more advanced so you can progress over time with your drills and routines.
You will get 3 introductory routines using the tools covered in this course. You can then add or take away drills from these routines to come up with ones to best suit your personal needs.
After this course you will have a firm understanding of soft tissue and self myofascial release drills that will allow you to become more mobile, alleviate aches and pains, and regain function!

Instructor
Steven is a Tulsa personal trainer with over 10 years experience, and has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Oklahoma State University. He has worked for over 5 years at a private training studio helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. During his time there he was privileged enough to train many people with different individual needs and goals. Working with his clients gives him the drive to constantly pursue continuing education to stay current with all of the information available. This helps him deliver the best training and nutritional information to his clients to ensure their success.
Steven is a Medical Exercise Specialist which means he has the knowledge and skill to work with clients with a wide range of medical conditions. Steven is trained to develop safe and effective conditioning programs for clients with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological, or metabolic disorders. Medical Exercise Professionals can not diagnose disorders but work close with doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, and physical therapists. Medical exercise is often called post rehab as it follows physical therapy or after the acute state of a condition and uses exercise to manage medical conditions.
Steven is MovNat level one certified. MovNat is a physical education & fitness system based on the full range of natural human movement abilities. These include the locomotive skills of walking, running, jumping, balancing, crawling, climbing & swimming. In addition we practice the manipulative skills of lifting, carrying, throwing & catching. How we move is how we train.
