Let's go from sketch to rough lines to final lines in our Editorial Cartoon. In this section we go over the basics in the program Procreate. Procreate is used in this course however, you can also use pen or pencil and paper. We also are discussing color for your cartoons.
In this section we add color and a background to the cartoon. Not all cartoons have color or backgrounds however, you will be able to add to the overall look of the cartoon itself to add interest. When adding background details you are able to bring the cartoon to life. These details can be an important to get the editors point of view or opinion across.
In this section we discuss how to add extra details to your cartoon. If drawing digitally this is an easy addition. Sometimes adding a bit of clipart or drawing extra art is the element needed to bring your cartoon to finish. Let's learn how to add such elements to Editorial Cartooning.
