Description
This course is about learning how to dance Bachata, Dominican style. We will be focusing on Dominican footwork techniques ranging from beginner to advanced levels. This course is for anyone who wants to learn basic to fun Dominican footwork. At the end of the course, you can take everything you learned and apply it on the dance floor at your next Latin dance party.
You will learn:

- Common and stylistic footwork from the Dominican Republic
- Tips and Subtleties to improve on techniques and comfort

Practise is key!
Make sure to follow along with the videos and practise as much and as often as you can so it becomes second nature. I will show you several different perspectives with step-by-step instructions to help make your learning as easy as possible. Towards the end, I will give you a few demos of combinations you can use immediately.
Included near the end of this course is a section on how to connect with your body which will help improve on your dancing or make you a better dancer.

Instructor
Thomas Jono is a social Latin dancer based in Canada. As a team member of Latin Dance Canada, he has travelled to learn Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba from some of the best instructors across the country. He started dancing salsa in 2009 and attended international salsa festivals for 5 years learning from some of the best instructors and choreographers from around the world. Thomas has been Latin dancing socially for 8 years and still counting.
Thomas's favourite dance to this date is Bachata due to its intimate nature and the connection that's involved when dancing with someone. He currently resides in Victoria, BC, Canada where he helps to host Latin socials twice a month with Latin Dance Canada.
Thomas is known for his passion and charisma when teaching others to learn the Latin dances and strives to help students improve on the techniques to become better dancers and feel great!
