Instructor
Enthusiastic teacher with an infectious passion for Lean Six Sigma. As an instructor, consultant, and human being I believe in being humble, creditable and approachable. My success as an instructor is measured by the success of my students.
I have been teaching and mentoring Lean Six Sigma Green and Black belts for over 12 years and I'm passionate about people using Lean Six Sigma thinking to achieve operational excellence. When used correctly, Lean Six Sigma can bring wealth and prosperity to both organizations and individuals; the win-win nature of Lean Six Sigma is why I teach it and love it.
Background: Grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force after high school. After serving 21 years I retired as an officer; having held job titles of weapons loader, recruiter, and communications officer. During the last few years of military service I was trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of Tennessee. I was hooked immediately to the logic and discipline of Lean Six Sigma and excelled at it from day one. Shortly after training the Air Force certified me as a Black Belt, my first certification.
After leaving the military I served as a Lean Six Sigma expert for several government agencies and civilian companies with a focus on operational excellence and employee training & development. I've trained and certified over 500 Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belts. I've provided employee training to companies such as Levi Strauss and Caesars Entertainment, plus to military units such as the 432nd Maintenance group and 57th Wing.
I'm currently serve as the Director of Certification for the American Association for Lean Six Sigma Certification (AALSSC) and consult with clients across the country. I'm a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. I have professional associations with Nevada Industry Excellence (NVIE), Southwest Alliance for Excellence, American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Devry University, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the American Association for Quality (ASQ).
