Description

You will be learning good practice on how to lead a choir, regardless of their age or type. You will learn why physical, as well as vocal, warm-ups are very important. What technical issues or problems that your choir might have can be resolved with specific warm-ups, or what type of technical problems you can solve and improve while doing the vocal warm-ups. How to create one color for the entire choir. How to improve the breathing.

This course will also explore how to match vocal registers across different sections, ensuring a more unified and balanced choral sound. You will discover how posture and alignment affect vocal output and how incorporating simple movement can enhance tone production and focus. We’ll look at the importance of vowel shaping, resonance, and diction to help develop clarity and blend. Exercises introduced will target pitch accuracy, tone quality, and ensemble cohesion. You’ll also learn how to gradually build vocal stamina within a warm-up routine and how to adapt exercises to suit your choir’s needs. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation in technical choir training that promotes healthy, expressive, and synchronized group singing, every single time, and be more knowledgeable and confident conductor.
