Refine intermediate to advanced joint-lock skills by removing slack, twisting attackers into submission, using footwork and pressure points, overcoming tension, tearing through locks, and escaping.
Get and keep constant pressure through joint locks from wrist lock to center lock and armbar, preventing slack during transitions and ensuring the lock stays set from stand to ground.
Demonstrates the figure eight technique to integrate multiple Kyusho Jutsu principles, using circular movements across planes to work with locks in the dojo.
Explore the no holds barred drill introduction, emphasizing sensitivity training, safe practice, and stopping at pain to prevent injury, with built-in safety countermeasures and trainer support.
Drill 3, bending elbow, demonstrates immobilizing the arm with an elbow lock and pressure points such as large intestine 12 and heart 2, using the two-inch rule to overcome tension.
Apply a wrist lock from a shirt grab to overcome tension, targeting pressure points on the lung, seven and eight on the hand, small intestine, and heart to roll off.
Explore center lock drills that transition from baiting and hand grabs to a central position, using elbow moves and lung seven, eight and large intestine points to manage tension.
No Holds Barred was the title of the Hulk Hogan movie back in 1989. The meaning of this title is this:
Without restrictions on holds or what opponents may do.
Without reserve; in an especially ruthless or vicious manner.
So hence the title is appropriate for this course.
Joint locks are one of the most effective techniques in martial arts. They work because they make use of physics and leverage, rather than brute strength – theoretically allowing someone to submit a larger opponent, if they use the correct technique.
For most of our Dojo training, we'll find compliant training partners, but seldom you will find that on the street. They will fight back and resist every possible move.
In our lectures, I will demonstrate and explain ways to improve and refine your ability to add joint locks to an attacker.
These are topics I will cover in this course.
Take The Slack Out of Your Joint Locks
Twist Your Attacker Into Submission While Joint Locking
How To Use Your Feet With Joint Locks
How To Overcome Tension When Joint Locking
Using Your 2nd Hand
How To Make Joint Locks Hurt More
How To TEAR Through A Joint Lock
How To Escape Joint Locks
And of course, I will tie in the Kyusho Jutsu aspect throughout the entire course!
Join me in this course, as I teach you the pressure points of the body and how to effectively use them with joint locks to defend and escape from your attacker.
The objective of this course is to make you aware of the pressure point (Kyusho Jutsu) targets to move the odds of the fight in your favor.
Various drills and training exercises to help your understanding of using Pressure Points.
