Richard Douieb introduces the official black belt second degree program, moving beyond basics to advanced techniques with emphasis on coordination, balance, and precision, including defenses against knife and gun threats.
Enhance fluidity by chaining movements in sequences from a neutral stance, ending each sequence in guard, and executing two-punch two-elbow combinations or a front kick with strikes.
Perform codified shadow boxing sequences with forward, backward, and side movements, featuring at least ten kicks—front, circular, side, and back kicks—to build balance and guard discipline through improv.
Defend against left and right punches, and kicks, perform fluid, logic-based projections with minimal force, and use balance-aware throws and ground control inspired by judo principles.
Defend against front, back, and side grips while delivering at least two strikes to take down an attacker.
Master defenses against stick and knife by reacting with strikes while defending, dodging when needed, disarming grips, and using counters, kicks, and punches to escape two-attacker scenarios.
Learn defense against gun threat through static and moving holds, disarmament, and minimum five defenses, plus stick or knife defenses against opponents armed with blades and grabs.
Perform two 2-minute bouts with a 1-minute rest, then a round within five minutes against two partners. Apply hard-contact safety rules, simulated head strikes, no points, no winners.
