The difference between 이/가 & 은/는
Korean teachers are still debating how to teach the difference between 이/가 & 은/는, but it’s not clear yet.
If you want simple answer, we use 이/가 for subject which appears first time. And after we talk about that subject, we use 은/는.
(That teacher is American.)
And when we use 은/는 for certain situatuon, it imply that ther must be the other subjects.
(Father is in the room.)
(Father is in the room.)+(Mother is ~, Sister is~, Brother is~)
And we can also use 은/는 for object.
(I like Kimchi.) (I like Kimchi.) +(But I don’t like ~, ~.)
Still it’s not enough though, these are the general difference between 이/가 & 은/는.
