Krista Marquardt started practicing yoga 15 years ago. What started out as a purely physical practice for Krista turned into something much more profound. Hungry to learn more and continue to connect with the spiritual healing power of yoga, she completed her first 200 hour teacher training program with LifePower Yoga, directed by Jonny Kest in 2013. She then went on to complete another 200 hour and a 500 yoga teacher certification with The Samarya Center in Seattle, Washington under the expert guidance of Molly Lannan-Kenny – the creator of Integrated Movement Therapy and Samarya Yoga. Krista completed her Integrated Movement Therapy certification in 2015 and is recognised as a qualified yoga therapist by The international Association of Yoga Therapists. Krista now spends her time working with expert teachers to create relevant and valuable training resources for new and aspiring yoga teachers. She wants to empower new teachers to gain the skills and confidence they need to responsibly live their dream teaching yoga to others. Krista works mostly with private clients but you can occasionally find her dropping in to teach a class or workshop at studios in the Sydney, Australia area.
