LESSON 1 THE KIPPER GT HOUSES - RECOGNIZE THE KIPPER CARDS
Every lesson you will need on this course is in the attached document – Use it in conjunction with “The Card Geek – The 36 Kipper Cards” document.
Today we are laying our cards out from 1 to 36 to understand which deck we have and the directions therein. It is of utmost importance that you watch the Lesson 1 video and consider the directions in your deck of the people therein.
The Original Kipper deck from the 19th Century shows a Main Character 1 facing right and his partner Main Character 2 facing left. Above you will see two Main Character 2’s each facing in opposite directions. This is due to the 1920’s version of the deck being transposed! Every card within the deck was transposed with the exception of 22. Military Person. This leaves us with two possibilities for your deck!
· Which way does your Main Character 1 face?
· Which way does your Main Character 2 face?
Note: They cannot both look in the same direction – if they do you MUST assign a direction to one that will face the other.
It is important that you understand which way your Main Characters face. This is key to a Kipper Reading.
Further Cards that you must understand the direction of are as follows:
5. Good Gent (faces same direction as MC1)
6. Good Lady (faces same direction as MC2)
8. Dishonesty
9. Change
10. Journey
12. Rich Girl (faces same direction as MC2)
13. Rich Gent (faces same direction as MC1)
14. Sad News
17. A Gift
19. Fatality
24. Theft
28. Expectation
33. Gloomy Thoughts
35. A Long Way
Take your time and run through every card within your deck and read the meanings that are applicable. Make sure you have mentally noted the directional qualities of the deck you have and their core meanings. You are not expected to memorize every meaning already – but have read and understood (whilst look at the imagery on the card) what the card is representing – what kind of situation can be shown.
INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 1
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 1 Video
2. Lay the cards out 1 – 36 and understand the directional cues on your deck.
3. VIDEO DECK DIRECTIONS http://bit.ly/KipperDeckdirection
4. Complete the exercise in the document.
LESSON 2 WHO ARE THEY? - RECOGNIZE THE KIPPER PEOPLE
The Kipper Cards often cause students problems when learning due to the number of people cards within the deck. Today we are going to identify key players. I have also added a relationship section which I usually share with advanced courses, however, I have in the last year seen so many new Kipper Readers “seeing cheats” and generally seeking a third party in a relationship often that I have had to add this here.
Please note that when we are reading for a QUERENT the person we are reading for is ALWAYS Main Character 1 or Main Character 2 – never substitute another card for this. If you want to know somebody’s feelings towards you never use Good Gent because he is older or Rich Gent because he’s in his 20’s – NO – always use Main Character 1.
INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 2
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 2 Video
2. Look at the Kipper People Doc
3. VIDEO DECK DIRECTIONS http://bit.ly/KipperDeckdirection (Same as yesterday)
4. Complete the exercise below.
LESSON 3 THE POSITIONS – KIPPER BASELINE
INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 3
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 3 Video https://youtu.be/6B3doiil3M0
2. Read the lesson in the document (Lesson 1 Contained the full class document).
3. Complete the Exercise in the document (Lesson 1 Contained the full class document).
Today we look into the positions that form the basis for many Kipper reads. The Kipper System is adept at detailing the Querent’s situation with just 4 cards. We can read their minds – their gut feelings and also delve into what they are hiding! It is a very intrusive system at times and this spread enables you to succinctly round up exactly what is going on. If you have a querent who comes to you but doesn’t share much about their situation – simply pull a cross spread before you read for them and ask for an overview of the situation that brought them to you! It provides a nice and solid foundation for any reading session.
There are MANY variations on this spread, the two methods we learn today are the basic methods for understanding your Querent right now.
The Significators we use are:
Main Character 1 For ALL Male Querents
Main Character 2 For ALL Female Querents
Remove the Main Character that you are working with and lay them on the table.
Shuffle the remaining deck and ask for an overview of your current situation.

LESSON 4 AUSPICIOUS NARRATIVE
INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 4
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 4 Video https://youtu.be/3CAMlpL-d5A
2. Read the Lesson in the course document
3. Complete the Exercise in the course document.
The aim of this lesson is for you to understand how to read Kipper Cards in a narrative fashion. This means we string sentences together and explain a situation from start to finish. The cards closest to our Main Characters are always the cards that impact our Querents the most. They bring their strongest situation and can be considered the “major situation” in the narration. We do use additional directional cues for an advanced Kipper Read, but for the basic “how to read” we start with card 1 and move along the line explaining.

LESSON 5 INAUSPICIOUS NARRATIVE
INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 5
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 5 Video https://youtu.be/3CAMlpL-d5A
2. Read the Lesson in the course document
3. Complete the Exercise in the course document.
In Lesson 5 we see how we treat the cards that fall BEHIND the Main Character’s Back. These are considered the inauspicious items, or the situations that will be an uphill battle.
Consider every card in your deck and what impact it could have if it were given a good heap of “struggle” to it. In a daily read it doesn’t mean the world is going to end if we see cards in an inauspicious position, but it can show that even the best made plans may go awry.

INSTRUCTIONS LESSON 6
Please take your time to:
1. Watch the Lesson 6 Video https://youtu.be/3CAMlpL-d5A
2. Read the Lesson in the course document
3. Complete the Exercise in the course document.

Combining Kipper Cards can be quite complex at times. Moving into Level 2 you will learn how directional qualities of cards enhance or provide more information on situations. Today we learn the basic combining of two cards.
The Perfect Course for Beginners and Advanced alike - if you want a refresher or a starting point this is it!
Students will learn how to proficiently read their Kipper Deck from Day 1. You will delve into the secrets of the Kipper Deck and learn to read 3 cards, Cross Spreads including auspicious and inauspicious narrative.
