Kipper Cards Foundations Practice Part 2

Think of the Kipper GT as a Snakes and Ladders Board, whereby movement is possible between rows and columns depending on the square you land on!

**** NOTE **** The cards listed are the Movements in the Original Kipper Deck! If you do not use this deck then you will not be able to use these – look closely at the deck you have and see what Directions/Movements/Cause & Effects etc. that you have – maybe mark them on the deck if you are unsure.

Today we are looking at the movement within the Kipper Deck in preparation of a read.

LESSON 2 BOX SPREAD WITH ANALYSIS

One of the most important Kipper techniques (actually for all systems too!) is the power of analysis to influence your reads. As a reader we need to be able to interpret the visual information provided into a cohesive story i.e. put the cards message into real English and real life!

Today we are analyzing placements within the 9 Card Box Spread.

Did you think we were done with the 9 card spread? No way! This is my favourite spread of all and one that you can use the same techniques for (i.e. Lesson 2) BUT with a person placed direct bang in the centre to find out what kind of person they really are!!

THE MC SPREAD

This spread is a smaller version of the MC Spread in which we can use all the cards. This is the first couple of steps in the larger spread, but is a good indication of a situation involving the Main Character.

We have considered the MC Spread and the directional cues within, but there is another layer of analysis that we haven’t yet completed. The Stop Cards in Kipper perform an important role of ending a story and giving a clear time to stop!

Warning in advance – this spread can turn into a monster – remember – we are only analysing placements – we are not interpreting every card until we are comfortable with it!

Today we will use the same question as yesterday BUT we will be using a different technique to lay.

The Line of Sight is perhaps the most important technique with the Kipper Cards. It is the direct future path of your Querent. Within the Line of Sight we see how their lives progress from now until the end of the timescale.
