Description

What are Readiness Skills?  Why are they important?  Do we really need to have them in place before a child enters school?  If Readiness Skills are so important, what can I do to promote these skills at home?  Are there activities, templates, checklists, images, etc to help with learning?  Well you are about to find out. 

This course is a beginning level course that discusses the important and necessary skills (Readiness and Success Skills) to help children be more prepared for when they first enter school in Kindergarten.  Students (Parents, Teachers, Administration, Caregivers, etc) taking this course will learn about the following:

1) The Who, What, and Why of Readiness Skills

2) Different Areas of Readiness Skills

3) Activities to Promote Readiness Skills

4) The Increasing Use of Technology in the Classroom.

There are a variety of quizzes, different types of activities, templates and checklists, and several different images to help with learning and using the information learned in this course.

By the end of this course, students  (parents, teachers, administration, caregivers, etc) should be more informed of what Kindergarten Readiness Skills are, why these skills are so important for student success, and be provided with a selection of activities and strategies to implement them.
