  • scratch paper

  • watercolor paints

  • acrylic, tempera, or poster paints (black, white, and your choice of colors)

  • paintbrushes

  • permanent marker (Sharpie marker works great!)

  • oil pastels or crayons

  • pencil with eraser

  • paper towels

  • paper plate (to use as paint palette)

  • bowl of water

  • mat to protect work area
