- Students will know the following:
----- Guidelines in general are none printed dashed lines.
----- Guidelines are placed anywhere in the working space of the Kelk program.
----- They are used mainly to align vertically or horizontally the calligraphic texts, words, or letters, and also to measure the distance between calligraphic lines.
----- Guidelines have different types such as the horizontal, vertical, diagonal, circular, elliptical, and also the Bézier guidelines.
- This lecture will discuss the "Defaults Values of the Kelk."
- Students will know the following:
----- "Defaults" feature is used to adjust or modify the defaults values.
----- "Defaults" mainly appear in the viewing area or working space of the Kelk program.
----- "Defaults" is not necessarily to be adjusted or modified by the designer herself or himself.
----- "Defaults" is only an extra feature that leaving it as it is would not make any problem for the calligraphic production.
- This lecture will discuss the "Exporting and Printing Kelk Files."
- Students will know the following:
----- "Exporting and Printing", are used to export the final calligraphic artistic work as a format that can be then manipulated by other graphics software such as, for example, Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop.

Do you search for an online course about the calligraphic program known as the KELK? In fact, this course is among the first courses of its type in the whole Internet. You might not be able to find another place which could give you the contents of this online course even in the most top media, academic, and training websites as well as the online video-sharing platforms.
Also, are you passionate and fond about Arabic calligraphy? Do you like to achieve similar calligraphic works that professionals only do? Do you need to design a calligraphic name, title, logo, verses, or avatar for your social media accounts? No problem at all. I promise you that by the end of the first few lectures, you will realize that making calligraphic works using KELK is actually simple and amazing. I prepared several calligraphic projects for you to complete where you can practice your skills and use them for your creative portfolio.
Inside the course, you will know more about how to change the shape of calligraphic words, letters through selecting from several calligraphic predesigned combinations in the program. We will together select, will join, will elongate horizontally, and elongate vertically the letters of the calligraphic designs and texts. We will work also with Kashidah and will manipulate the ends of the words using the renowned Thuluth script. You will know about the different famous calligraphic scripts (e.g., Arabic, Persian, and Urdu scripts) included in the program such as the Thuluth script, the Divani with its two types Jali and Khafi, Naskh, Riqa’a, Nastaleeq, Lahori, and other calligraphic scripts.
Defaults of the Kelk, different types of Guidelines, and how to export and print your final calligraphic file will be also explained in the course. Using these amazing skills, you will be able to make circular and para-circular calligraphic works, vertical and horizontal, mirrored, and sophisticated artistic works and of course your own calligraphic tughra. In addition, you will learn more simple retouching skills using the Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator with no need for a deep experience in these both applications. Moreover, you would not be complete as a Kelk user without the genuine ability in making sophisticated calligraphic works that we will learn in this course.
As an essential part of the "Kelk: Essentials Training Course", you will learn the four main steps required in designing every calligraphic artistic work and practice them yourself.
Before the end of the course, you will have the ability to design a sophisticated calligraphic work such as the difficult very long calligraphic work.
In this course, I supply exercise files, so you can practice as much as you want. I will also save my Kelk files as I go through many videos so that you can compose yours and compare them to mine and modify any wrong design that you might have.
I will be also around to help if you get lost. Just drop me a post on the video 'Questions and Answers' below each video. I will be sure to get back to you soon.
I will share every design tricks that I have learned in my long period of designing using the Kelk Program. My goal is for your to finish this course with all the necessary skills in the Arabic calligraphy using the KELK. This will make you able to start making artistic calligraphic works in minutes that they took months from ancient calligraphers to make in the past. Just be creative, persistent, and unique.
