Description
The Kalimba with 17 tines, a wonderful and mostly underestimated musical instrument.
In this video course I will show you the basic technique to play melodies with the Kalimba.
You can then implement what you have learned with 30 themes from classical music.
You don't have to be able to read sheet music, and you don't need any other previous musical knowledge.
The songs are presented in "song videos": The well-known "karaoke" technique underlines the tine symbols to be played in the tablature to match the melody - you see what you hear. In addition, an animated graphic of a Kalimba shows where the tines are located.
Songs included in the course: Ach wie so trügerisch - G. Verdi / Am Brunnen vor dem Tore - F. Schubert / Andante grazioso - W. A. Mozart / Aus meinen Tränen sprießen - R. Schumann / Bolero - M. Ravel / Can Can - J. Offenbach / Champagner Arie - W. A. Mozart / Das Schlaraffenland - R. Schumann / Der Frühling - A. Vivaldi / Der Herbst - A. Vivaldi / Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja - W. A. "Songbooks Info" is an Austrian collective of experienced musicians and music teachers who are happy to share their knowledge and experience on the instrument. Decades on and off stage, in workshops and in private lessons are directly reflected in the content of the songbooks and textbooks.
The focus is on having fun making music. Quick experiences of success that motivate and feedback from the students also flow into the creation of the books and video courses.
The two main protagonists are:
Bettina Schipp - Multi-instrumentalist with a focus on ukulele, recorder, ocarina, guitar and kalimba. She is a trained music retailer with over 20 years of experience in the industry and the owner of the "Linzer Notenladen". Countless ukulele students and her great arrangements for this small, big instrument earned her the title "Uke-Lady".
Reynhard Boegl – stage and studio musician with a focus on harmonica, guitar and kalimba. The thoroughbred musician has over 30 years of concert experience and almost as many years in music lessons. In 1995 he founded the "Austrian Bluesharp School" and is the first address for harmonica.
Both live and work in Linz / Austria / Europe.
