Hello everyone and welcome to the course!

Please watch this introduction before you start. It provides a brief intro to me, info on what to expect from the course, and some additional info on resources and link to my website.

Please feel free to comment or post any questions or feedback, I will try to get back to them as soon as possible.

Slides and transcripts of each video are provided as pdfs.

    NOTES:

    • The only JC maths topic that I don't cover is constructions, but there are plenty of excellent videos on Youtube that go through each construction step by step. I recommend you check those out!

    • Also, the EQ worksheets contain only Higher Level questions. For Ordinary level students, I recommend you give it a go and reference the solutions. Focus on understanding how to get to the answer and don't worry too much if you find the questions difficult. Look at it as perfect training for the exam because if you can understand and do HL qs then you're well able for OL qs!

Hope you enjoy the course and happy learning! :)

Requirements

  • Primary school/elementary school level maths: Required
  • 1st and 2nd Yr Junior Cycle Maths/GCSE knowledge assumed, but not necessary

Description

Are you...

  • A Junior Cycle student that is just about to sit their mocks or state exams?

  • Feeling stressed and anxious, worrying how on earth they are going to remember all the key points and formulas for the Maths exam?

  • Planning to revise all the maths course in a short time, perhaps right before the exam?

  • A 1st/2nd year student who struggles to understand or grasp the main concepts for each topic on the course?

  • Someone who just wants to learn the basics of maths to the standard of the Irish Junior Cycle or UK GCSE?

If you identify with any of the above statements then this maths course might be perfect for you!

What?

  • A condensed crash course for the Junior level Maths with all the key concepts you need to know and remember for the exam.

  • Focus is on the Irish Junior Cycle but is equivalent to the GCSE maths course.

How?

  • 10-30 mins video lectures on each topic

  • Exam question worksheets for each topic with separate solution pdf - questions are from slightly older papers but nonetheless serve as excellent practise for the exam, as overall the style of questions that come up hasn't changed much for the new Junior Cycle

  • Slides and transcript pdf provided for each video

COURSE FOCUS: understanding the core, fundamental concepts for each topic and being able to apply that knowledge to solve exam questions. Therefore, it's excellent for revision right before an exam or as a refresher.

PLEASE NOTE that if you are under the age of 18, you will need your parent/guardian to purchase the course for you.

**The only topic not covered in this course is Constructions.

  • Anyone who is interested in learning the fundamentals of maths!
  • Parents/guardians of 3rd Year Higher and Ordinary Level Junior Cycle Maths students, about to sit either their mock or state exams
