Description

Learning to play the piano should feel exciting—not confusing. Traditionally, people learn music in two ways: by listening and playing by ear, or by reading notes on a page. In this course, we bring both methods together using simple, time-tested strategies that make learning feel natural and enjoyable.

We start each lesson with a melody you probably already know. Research shows that learning from familiar tunes makes it easier to build new musical skills, and you’ll be surprised at how quickly you progress. First, you’ll learn the song by ear, then we’ll connect it to solfege—the “do, re, mi” system that helps link what you hear with what you play and read.

From there, you’ll transfer everything to the piano through a clear, step-by-step process that sets you up for success. You’ll even get musical accompaniments to play along with so you sound great right from the start.

One of the hardest parts of online music learning is knowing whether you’re doing things correctly. That’s why this course includes guided checklists to help you develop strong, healthy habits as you practice.

And the journey doesn’t stop at playing. You’ll also learn how to create your own music. Each unit includes simple, structured activities that guide you through writing your own melodies as your skills grow.
