Description
Are you looking for a grounded, earth-based approach to the Jewish Wheel of the Year?
Maybe you are a Jewish witch. Or, perhaps you are just curious about the folk aspects of Judaism. Either way, you want to find out more about the Jewish Calendar as it relates to the "wheel of the year".
If you are like a lot of witchy Jewish types, then you know how tough it is to find reliable information on earth-based practices in Judaism.
Maybe you have tried looking for witchy Jewish practices and only found traditional witchcraft or appropriated practices. Unfortunately there is a lot of that going around. It is frustrating. It is alienating. And it is almost impossible to find what you are really looking for.
Until now.
Summer turns hot! The days are long and the heat is on. Lazy days have our inner fire matching the temperatures outside. We’re in need of water to balance the heat.
During the months of Tamuz, Av, and Elul we’ll explore the interaction of fire and water of summer. From themes of exile to death, the heat of the season easily overpowers. We’ll discuss ways to find balance and comfort when the heat is up and things are starting to fade.
From holidays to daily practice, we’ll explore ways to infuse water into the hot and fiery overtones of this time of year.
Who this course is for:
- Anyone interested in the folk and earth-based practices of Judaism
Instructor
Hello y’all! I’m Michele Lefler, the Shamanic Energy Alchemist! I’ve faced many times in life where I was stuck and didn’t know how to move forward. I spent years trying to live up to other people’s expectations and have give so much to others that my own well ran dry. Now I have the tools and experience to help others get unstuck. Who doesn’t want a helping hand?
I practice shamanic, earth-based Judaism mixed with Celtic witchcraft and Appalachian folk magic. My teaching reflect that. But, I believe all spiritual paths are valid. I’m here to support you on your journey, whatever that looks like.
I’m a Capricorn Sun, Libra, Moon, and Aquarius Rising. As a natural sea witch, you’ll often find me situation on a beach. I also love reading and exploring the history and culture of wherever I am, so I can also be found in museums and libraries.
