Hey Sonia here I am the Creator of Iso Style and I am having a unique Iso Style Dance Choreography for you today. It looks really great! ISO STYLE is a new and intercultural dance. It‘s the dance of the 21st century.

What are the characteristics of Iso Style?

    - It’s a healthy workout for your body

    - It’s easy to learn and

    - It’s very attractive

I will teach you now the first chapter of the 1st Iso Style Dance Choreography. The dance steps are divided into 4 chapters that build on each other. First we will start with a warm-up. Always before you begin to exercise please do a warm-up.

In each chapter I will first explain the movements. Then you will have some practice sessions on music. These practice sessions combine all the moves and it gives you the opportunity to pick up the pace.

You will also learn some arm variations and you will have an Iso Style „Show up & Dance“ performance session. We will close the chapter with a cool down. This chapter is the first chapter of 4 chapters and it includes a warm-up, 4 dance moves, a practice session, some arm variations, the Iso Style „Show up & Dance“ performance session and a cool-down.*

After the warm up you will learn 4 movements: the Iso Kick Walk, the Iso Double Kick, the Cycle Side Kick and the Iso Chassee Side Kick.

    Warm Up

What is the purpose of a warm-up? A warm-up creates a distraction from everyday demands. Your core body temperature and your heart rate will increase and has a positive effect on your central nervous system and mental health. It improves your coordination and increases your attention. It is important that the warm-up involves as many muscle groups as possible.

  • Iso Kick Walk 2. position6:09

The Iso Kick walk is the first move in this chapter and it’s one of my favourate movements because it‘s really a good way to start with. While exercising you will develope self convidence, because you show up n dance.

The Iso Kick walk is a combination of 3 steps and an Iso Side kick. So stand in an upright posture. The feet are in first position, which means your feet stand side by side, heels touching.

It isn't a tense posture, but it isn't loose, either don't pull the shoulders back - put your rib cage in such a way, that your shoulders sit properly. Bring the hands close by the hips.

We start with the right foot and we take 3 steps forward and then take a step sideways to the left and step into 2nd position. The distance between the feet should be hip-width and we are ending in an Iso Side Kick 2.position with slightly bent legs.

The Iso Side Kick is a beautiful movement. When you get the hang of it then the movement is super relaxed and always looks good. By the way, it relieves tension in the lower back.

What we are going to do is, we gonna do a first „Iso side Kick“. We are doing the exercise in the 2. Position, which means stand hip-width apart. Stand in an upright posture and bend both legs until you feel relaxed. Bring the hands close by the hips.

Now your hip is moving over to the right side and back to the center, than to the left side and back to the center. Make sure to keep your hips moving easy.

  • Iso Double Kick 2. position4:21

The Iso Double Kick is the second move of this Iso Style Dance Choreography and it‘s really a great move. It developes strength around your hips, your belly and your pelvis muscles and it looks fantastic.

Stand in 2nd position and bend your both legs. Make sure you keep an upright posture. You want a nice good posture in your lower back. Make sure that it doesn’t feel like your pelvis and hips are tilted while doing this. The deeper you can go, the freer your hips are. It‘s also a very good stretch for your calf and upper leg muscles. So go down but only go to your comfort level.

This move also helps to stretch the lower back, but it‘s also going to engage the abdominal, the glutes and hamstrings.

  • Cycle Side Kick 2. position4:36

The Cycle Side Kick is a combination of a cycle and an Iso side Kick. You are going to develope a good coordination, balance and strength around your hips, your belly and your pelvis and it looks really sexy.

The pelvis moves like a bicycle. The pelvis describes a circle like a standing wheel, from the bottom to the right to the top to the left and down again and ends on the right side in an Iso Side Kick. From here it goes the same way back again.

Stand in the 2. position and bend your legs. Put the hands on your hips. Now start down at 6 o‘ clock move the pelvis to the right on 3 o‘ clock go up to 12 o‘ clock and from there to 9 o‘ clock from there end at 3 o‘ clock in an Iso Side Kick. From here you go the other direction. Go down to 6 to 9 to 12 to 3 to 6 and end at 9 in an Iso Side Kick.

  • Combination 12:56

Now we gonna combine the 3 movements in one exercice: The Iso Kick Walk, the Iso Double Kick & the Cycle Side Kick. While we do the exercise we describe around us a cube. You should also change sides every now and then and start with the left foot.

Step Step Step Kick, Double Kick Double Kick, Double Kick Double Kick Double Kick Double Kick, Cycle Side Kick Cycle Side Kick

  • Iso Chassée Side Kick4:35

A Chassé is a dance step used in dance in many variations. All variations are triple-step patterns of gliding character in a "step-together-step" pattern. Now we gonna do the Iso Chassé Side kick. A chassé in dancing refers to a combination of the following three steps: Step to the side playing leg closes to the standing leg, step to the side. In short: "side close side" These three steps can be performed in all directions. They are part of many figures and variations.

Right left right and we end up in an Iso Side Kick. Left right left and we end up in an Iso Side kick.

  • Combination 23:03

Now we gonna combine the 4 movements in one exercise. We do the Iso Kick Walk, the Iso Double kick, the Cycle Side Kick and the Iso Chassé Side Kick.

While we do the exercise we describe around us a cube. Then change sides and start with the left foot.
