Introducing this course and letting you know what Is waiting for you

  • How to Draw Six-point Stars by Dividing a Circle into 12 Equal Parts11:42

To draw a six-point star you will need to divide a circle in to 12 equal parts. In this video you will learn how, and then we will teach you how to draw some stars as well.

  • Drawing a 30° Six-point Star Pattern from Atigh Jameh Mosque of Isfahan10:05

Learning how to draw a star is one thing and learning how to turn it into a pattern is another. On this video you will learn how to draw a famous six-fold pattern used in one of Iran's well know mosques the Atigh Jameh mosque of Isfahan.

  • Drawing a 60° Six-point Star Pattern from Kharaghan Twin Towers - Qazvin11:01

This video will teach you another six fold pattern which has been used in Kharaghan Twin Towers - Qazvin. Although the technique is similar but the details are different so pay attention.

  • Drawing a 75° Six-point Star Pattern10:28

75° six-fold pattern is one of the rarest patterns that has been used in Islamic architecture (specially this one that maybe has never been used yet) but we are going to let you know how its drawn and made.

  • Drawing a 90° Six-point Star Pattern from Jameh Mosque of Varamin14:39

In this video you will learn how to draw the 90° six-pointed star pattern - a common used patterns in the six-fold groups.

  • How to Draw Eight-point Stars By Dividing a Circle into 16 Equal Parts11:31

As like the six-pointed stars needed a circle to be divided in to 12 equal parts the eight-point star needs it to be divided in to 16 equal parts. In this video we are going to learn how to do so and how to turn these parts into beautiful eight-pointed stars.

  • How to Draw an Eight-point Star From Fatima Masumeh Shrine - Qom13:52

After learning to divide the circle in to 16 equal parts now you are ready to start creating eight-folded patterns. In this video you will be learning one that has been used in Fatima Masumeh Shrine - Qom.

  • How to Draw an Eight-point Star from Baba Qasim Tomb - Isfahan16:55

This video will teach you how to draw a second eight-folded pattern. This one is used in a tomb in Isfahan.

  • How To Draw an Eight-Point Pattern From a Tombstone in Bitlis City - Turkey3:58

The last pattern that you will learn is a Seljuk pattern that has been used on some Tombstone In Bitlis City – Turkey. This is a an eight folded pattern similar to the last one you have learned but you can see with only small changes you can build up new ones, more complex looking ones or simple ones.

  • Coloring Six-point Stars & a Pattern5:07

After all the hard work in building up a pattern the best way to make them pop up and look beautiful is to color them. How to color a pattern is completely up to you but there are some ways that we think they might be more useful for you. In this video you will learn one of them. (Color pencil method instructed by Neda Javaheri)

  • Coloring Two Patterns4:46

Another Method of Coloring to Make Your Pattern Looks Better (Pastel Method Instructed by Neda Javaheri)

  • Coloring Two Patterns (Watercolor Technique Instructed by Neda Javaheri)5:07

Watercolors are commonly used to color a geometric pattern, in this video we will show you how you might want to do this on your own patterns, although there are other ways to do so but its always helpful to have an Idea of how it works(instructed by Neda Javaheri).

  • Tessellating a Pattern6:02

By tessellating a pattern you can build up a bigger more complex looking pattern much easier and more cemetery then drawing it all by yourself from the beginning to the end (instructed by Neda Javaheri).

  • Using Ruling Pen & Drop Compass2:13

If you don’t know how to use them learn it with us in this video (instructed by Neda Javaheri).

  • Gisso Making (Pattern Weaving)7:54
