Description

The (ISC)2 Certified in Cybersecurity CC Exam is administered as a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions. It is conducted at Pearson VUE testing centers and lasts for two hours, featuring a total of 100 questions. This means you will have slightly over a minute to answer each question.

The exam focuses on five distinct domains within the field of cybersecurity:

Domain 1: Security Principles (26% of the exam) - This domain covers fundamental concepts of information assurance, the risk management process, various types of security controls, security governance, and the ISC-squared code of ethics.

Domain 2: Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response (10% of the exam) - This smaller domain explores the purpose, significance, and components of business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response processes.

Domain 3: Access Control Concepts (22% of the exam) - This domain evaluates your understanding of physical and logical access controls.

Domain 4: Network Security (24% of the exam) - This domain accounts for questions related to computer networking basics, network threats and attacks, and network security infrastructure.

Domain 5: Security Operations (18% of the exam) - The final domain assesses your knowledge of data security protection methods, system hardening, best practice security policies, and the use of security awareness training by IT professionals.

All the questions on the exam are presented in a straightforward multiple-choice format. Each question is followed by four possible answer choices, with one correct option. As an entry-level certification, the exam does not feature overly complex or intricate questions. Instead, it tests your comprehension of the material through standard multiple-choice questions that require you to recall information from your studies.
