Instructor
Mustapha Bukar Gana, born on January 27, 1961, in Bama, Borno State, Nigeria, is a seasoned academic and advocate in Guidance and Counselling, with extensive experience in education management, digital technology, and instructional design. Of Kanuri descent, he began his educational journey at Central Primary School Bama, followed by Teachers' College, Bama, where he earned his Grade II Teacher’s Certificate. He holds a B.A. Ed. in History and Geography from the University of Maiduguri and an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Jos.
Gana has consistently advanced his technical skills with diplomas and training in computer applications, programming, and web development. His commitment to education and technology integration led him to earn a PhD in Distance Education and E-Learning from Atlantic International University. His professional journey includes over three decades at Umar Ibn Ibrahim El-Kanemi College of Education, Science and Technology Bama, where he held roles from lecturer to Provost. His tenure as Provost was marked by significant accomplishments, including increasing student enrollment, enhancing staff development, and achieving full accreditation for the college's courses.
A published author and dedicated researcher, Gana has contributed numerous articles on child abuse, internet utilization, and educational development. He is affiliated with several professional bodies, including the Counselling Association of Nigeria, and has attended and presented at numerous national and international conferences. Recognized for his contributions to education, Gana has received multiple awards from academic and community organizations. His ongoing interests include digital learning and research, reflected in his active engagement with online learning platforms and academic associations.
