My name is Jimmie Calmese and I started Calmese Group in 2002 as professional development company with the aim of helping individuals and nonprofit leaders develop funding opportunities through professional writing. Since then, I have assisted over one hundred businesses with business formation, nonprofit application, grant writing, strategic planning, board development, professional development, and training.
I possess 25 years of professional experience in the nonprofit industry and have found that my passion is helping people from all walks of life. I possess excellent communication skills as well as strong fundraising and marketing skills and outstanding writing skills.
I have served as Director of Youth Service for thirteen years at one of the oldest nonprofits in St. Louis, Missouri and have received multiple grants each year of my employment. I possess executive and administrative management skills and experience in nonprofit startup assistance, nonprofit business development including 501(c)(3) assistance, business plan and grant writing, strategic planning, and organizational readiness training and development. In addition, I am very research and tech savvy, mission-driven, and goal oriented. My greatest assets include understanding dynamics and relationships, creating value through development, and strong multitasking skills.
