Description

• Our journey in this course will touch one of the most important material "Stainless Steel". The course will study the features of stainless steel from all angles. The first station will define the stainless steel as unique corrosion resistance material. Then will go to the scientific explanation of corrosion resistance phenomena. After that, knowing the types of stainless steel is vital to touch each type separately. First and widest type is Austenitic; the course will draw the attention to this important type, its chemical composition, grades, applications. The second stainless steel type is ferrite, how can it be resulted? Its alloying elements and its mechanical properties with mentioning its application at site. The third type is Duplex stainless steel, studying all features about it through its chemical composition, properties and its applications. Also, mention the fourth type of stainless steel "Martensitic" with deep explanation about its chemical composition what is different between it and the previous types and finally its applications in the life. The last type of stainless steel which is known as Precipitation Hardening which is lightly diffident than the other types of stainless steel as the course will shed light on it with its mechanical properties and applications

On the other hand we mentioned the famous Schaeffler-Delong Diagram with explanation about its definition. What is the purpose of it and how can we use it?. Finally we mention also WRC prediction diagram as more accurate than Schaeffler-Delong Diagram as we offered its function with the difference between it and Schaeffler and finally how can we use to it predication the microstructure of weld metal with clear example on how can we use the prediction diagram
